Pascua- Lama Project, Barrick Gold Corp.
The gold-silver Pascua-Lama Project is a cross-border property located in the highly prospective Frontera District, which straddles Chile’s 3rd Region and Argentina’s San Juan Province. The project lies within the area subject to the Mining Treaty signed into law in 2004 between Argentina-Chile.

Soouthern Argentina has a significant amount of mining projects and prospects, gold, silver and uranium among others, and also gold and silver mines.

In Central Argentina, the main projects are those in San Juan province, including Veladero and Gualcamayo mines.

Northern Argentina hosts a wide range of significant projects, including copper, silver, semi precious stones and industrial minerals mines.

The mining sector in Argentina is becoming highly dynamic, providing genuine and sustainable development. The significant geological potential started to awaken over 15 years ago, and seems to advance relentlessly.

During the 1990’s, the establishment of a trustworthy legal framework facilitated investments of over US 4,000 M in a series of new mines and exploration.
