MENDOZA, ARGENTINA. July 17, 2014. Argentina Mining is pleased to announce that Troy Resources, operator of the Casposo mine, join us as Silver Sponsor at the 10th International Convention on Business Opportunities in Exploration, Geology and Mining, Argentina Mining 2014, which will take place September 3-5, 2014, in Salta Province.
Casposo is the third metalliferous mine in San Juan province, which opened in 2011. It is located in the Calingasta department. The mine is preparing to produce gold and silver by underground tillage only. Currently it has an open pit operation simultaneously with the underground development. Troy Resources Argentina Company Ltd. began the works for underground mining in the second half of 2012 and continues to the date, with the progress of the main ramp, which connects galleries and sublevels of production, while underground access portal has been completed.
Troy Resources Argentina Ltd. produced 89,248.23 ounces of equivalent gold in 2013, while the estimated production for 2014 is around 100,000 ounces of equivalent gold. In the first three years of operation of Casposo, the production rate was maintained between 90,000 and 97,000 ounces of annual equivalent gold.
