Argentina Mining is pleased to announce that Mansfield Minerals SA, subsidiary of Canadian Goldrock Mines, just confirmed its participation as Platinum Sponsor of the 11th International Convention on Business Opportunities in Exploration, Geology and Mining, Argentina Mining 2016, which will take place September 7-9, 2016, in Salta Province.
Mansfield Minerals is an exploration firm led by a team of experienced engineers and geologists. The company started exploring in Argentina in 1994 and since then, has been working uninterruptedly in the country. Lindero, its main asset, it's a gold porphyry deposit located 250km to the west of Salta city, in northwestern Argentina. Mansfield Minerals also owns Arizaro, a copper-gold porphyry situated 35km from Lindero and it was discovered right before it in 1999.
Fellow Canadian Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. acquired Goldrock Mines in June of 2016. Fortuna foresees a production expansion in Lindero, as a low cost option, following its feasibility studies and environmental approvals (DIA, for its acronym in Spanish) for the development of the mine, and counting with strong support from the Salta government and its community. Salta has a strong mining policy that envisions Lindero as its first mine of disseminated gold; Argentina being the 12th gold producer in the world. In 2013 Goldrock announced a positiive feasibility study for Lindero with annual production of 109.000 Oz, an operating cost of 647 USD/Oz of gold , an NPV & IRR of USD 215 M and 33,4%, with included taxes at a price of 1400 USD/Oz of gold. Fortuna will focus in taking the project to production in 2018 and forecasts a guidance production, for the first year, of 127,000 oz of gold.
