See the oficial launch video here >> Latin America, according to the last report of Metals Economics Group, receives 27% of the global investment in exploration. However, various barriers such as the availability of information in English, and the misunderstanding of regional peculiarities greatly obstruct access to information. As an answer to that need, Latin Exploration was born in 2009 to narrow the information gap and bring Latin American mining closer to its players. The conference program includes renowned speakers, among them, Eduardo Chaparro, from CEPAL, Callum Grant from Tetra Tech, and  Rubén Padilla, Talisker Exploration Services. Moreover, attendants are invited to a cocktail at the Canadian Embassy on the first day of the event. A new aspect of the 2011 edition will be the Project Exchange, an area designed to promote mining projects, which will enable Junior Mining Companies to contact new partners for JV, or to get offers to farm-out properties. This new feature will be really useful even for raising capital. Latin America is the ultimate exploration destination, with great geological potential, from base and precious metals to industrial minerals and energy metals. “During the two days of conferences at Latin Exploration, the attendants will become updated on the current status of exploration and the potential of selected projects from countries such as Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil, among others; commodities and their outlook; financing exploration and risk assessment; CSR strategies; corporate experiences, and opportunities in mining in the region”, commented Paola Rojas, Manager of Argentina Mining, organizing company of Latin Exploration 2011. According to a recent poll, previous editions of Latin Exploration received a positive appraisal from its attendants based on the quality of the speakers, the information obtained, and the networking activities which help create a favorable atmosphere for generating real business opportunities. Latin Exploration already has the endorsement of the Embassies of Great Britain, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil and South Africa. The event is directed to Presidents, CEO, Vice-presidents and Exploration Managers of mining companies that are considering the region in their exploration strategies or those already installed; suppliers of exploration services, as well as financers, brokers and other professionals involved in the finance side of the mining business.
