Last month, during the mining exhibition Arminera 2009 in Buenos Aires, a cocktail took place where Argentina Mining’s activities for 2009-2010 were presented. There was also an important announcement after 7 versions of the event in Mendoza, and 2 with joint activities in Mendoza and San Juan, it was decided to relocate the event totally in San Juan. In the first place, due to the refusal that exists in Mendoza province towards the development of the mining activity since 2006.
Nivaldo Rojas, Director of Argentina Mining and President of Rojas & Asociados S.A., said during the cocktail: “Nowadays, San Juan is one of the most important provinces in mining. It has demonstrated a permanent support to the development of the mining activity in the country through its promotion policies and control of the activity”.
Additionally, a new event was presented, the International Conference on Exploration in Latin America, Latin Exploration 2009, which will be carried out in Buenos Aires at the end of September, and will include lectures on financing, mining opportunities in the region and exploration in Argentina, among others.
Some companies of the sector have already engaged their sponsorships and are already booking their space for the Argentina Mining 2010 exhibition.
